Grind sweet corn and
sugar in a mixer to a puree and transfer into a mixing bowl.
Add egg, aniseed and
salt and mix. Add 1 tbsp of more of refined flour to bind the mixture. Add vinegar and mix.
Heat oil in a deep pan.
Drop spoon full of batter into the hot oil in batches, and deep-fry, on high heat till they turn golden all over. Drain on absorbent paper.
Arrange them on a
serving platter and serve hot with a bowl of sauce of your choice.
