Ingredients

  • Mixed sprouts 2 cups
  • Oil 1 tbsp
  • Cumin seeds ½ tsp
  • Ginger, chopped ½ tsp
  • Green chilli, chopped 1
  • Medium onion, chopped 1
  • Red chilli powder ½ tsp
  • Cumin powder ½ tsp
  • Turmeric powder ½ tsp
  • Salt to taste
  • Medium tomato, chopped 1
  • Lemon juice 1 tsp

How to Make Usli (Stepwise Photos)

Method

  1. Heat oil in a non-stick pan, put cumin seeds, ginger and green chilli and saute till cumin seeds change colour.
  2. Add onion and saute till it turns translucent.
  3. Add red chilli powder, cumin powder, turmeric powder and salt and mix well and saute for 1 minute.
  4. Add tomato and saute till it softens. Add mixed sprouts, mix and cook till the sprouts soften.
  5. Add lemon juice and mix.
  6. Transfer into a serving bowl and serve hot.
