How to Make Goat Cheese & Walnut Sambuussek (Stepwise Photos)
Method
Finely chop the
sundried tomatoes and put into a mixing bowl. Add 1 tsp parsley, black pepper powder and salt and mix well.
Add walnuts and goat
cheese and mix well.
Take flour in a bowl,
add a little water to make a smooth paste.
Fold each spring roll
sheet into a pocket, stuff it with a spoonful of the cheese mixture. Apply the flour paste to the open edges and press together lightly to seal.
To make the dip, take
yogurt in another bowl, add sumac, lemon juice, salt, black pepper powder and remaining parsley and mix well. Transfer into a serving bowl.
Heat sufficient oil in a
deep pan, slide in the sambuusseks and deep fry till golden brown. Drain on absorbent paper.
Transfer onto a
serving platter and serve hot with the dip.
